I’ve been on a bit of a photography journey lately. After years of shooting on Auto and hoping for the best, I decided it was time to actually learn how to use my camera — a Canon EOS R6 Mark II — and figure out what all those settings actually do.
These shots are some of my early results. You’ll see rabbits in the backyard, birds on branches, peaceful trails, and quiet lakes — all things I’ve walked past a hundred times but never really stopped to photograph properly. Learning to slow down and actually look has been half the lesson.
I’m shooting RAW and editing in Adobe Lightroom on my iPad, working through the basics one step at a time — exposure, aperture, light. It’s humbling and exciting at the same time.
More to come as I keep learning. Thanks for following along.
